Yellow Jacket Men’s Basketball traveled to Greeley, Colorado last weekend to take on University of Northern Colorado a member of the Big Sky Conference.
In the first half University of Northern Colorado took advantage of some costly turnovers from the Yellow Jackets and carried that momentum into halftime taking a 50-27 lead. In the second half the Yellow Jackets weren’t able to close the gap as University of Northern Colorado took the game 91-62. “We did a better job in the second half handling their pressure,” said Head Coach Paul Sather.
The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Clay Pottorff with 17 points. Sophomore Luke Enos added 15 points and six rebounds. “University of Northern Colorado is a great team. It was good for our team to play this game and get better,” said Coach Sather.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this Friday and Saturday night as they travel to Dakota Wesleyan University and Mount Marty College. This will be the opening weekend for the men after playing two exhibition games. Please check the schedule for exact game times and locations.
