Upcoming Events:
- Sting-A-Thon 2012, Register Now!!
Sting-A-Thon is a 6 hour event that will be held on March 31st, starting at 10 am. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to support the local Children’s Miracle Network hospital in our region. Everyone is welcome to participate and have fun with several local families and listen to the remarkable stories of these children. For more information and to register, visit www.stingathon.com. You can register as an individual or as a team, remember, there will be several prizes awarded, so have fun and help the smallest and sickest members of the community!
- Speak German?
Do you speak German? Are you learning German? Join us at Stammtisch on Thursdays at 4:00 in the Hive! Any level of language ability is welcome.
- Spring Break Workshop, FREE for BHSU Employees
The SD CEO, in partnership with the Career Service Association invites you to attend this fun and highly interactive seminar, “We’re Not Crazy, We’re Just All Different” on Wed. March 7th, 9 – 11:30 am in the Jacket Legacy Room. There is no cost but you must pre register by March 6th. Register online: http://www.bhsu.edu/sdceo/UpcomingEvents/tabid/10101/Default.aspx. The CSA Council will also be having a no-host Taco bar after the workshop in the Hive for $5.
- The River, Thursdays at 6:30 pm
The current topic is: Relationships 101. The River is a Christian gathering of college students and young adults in Spearfish. Every Thursday night we meet for a night of cutting edge worship music and challenging teaching. We learn about truth for our lives based on scripture and we talk about topics that young adults are dealing with. We meet off campus for most of the year, behind Taco Johns off of Jackson Blvd.
- The River Study Session
We will be meeting Tuesdays on campus in the Library Coffee Shop area from 8 – 10 pm for a chance to help each other with homework or to just take break from studying. Anyone is welcome, there will be upper classmen and graduates available for help in a variety of areas such as: chemistry, physics, math, biology, mass communications, and any other general college questions or help. Free coffee will be available whether or not you need help with homework.
- Leadership 101 “Ethical Decisions – How do you make the RIGHT Decision?”
Doing what is right is not always the easiest decision or solution. But, what if you do not know what IS the right decision? During this session we’ll look at some case studies to see what leaders should do in tough situations. Thursday, March 1st at 3:30 pm in the Student Engagement & Leadership Center.
