assessment committee meeting Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. in Jonas
103. Present were: Earley, K. Meyers, J. Miller,
O'Neill, Calhoon, Ellery Grey, Golliher, Termes, Sharon
Hemmingson, and R. Ellis. Absent were: Cook, Haislett,
and Myers.
The chair reported that he had received the assessment
plan for environmental physical science. This meant that
all majors and composite majors had an assessment plan.
He had met with the general-education committee and they
were working on an assessment plan for general

education which should be
ready by the end of this semester. His only concern that
with the NCA visit coming in 2002, the institution needed
to have most of the assessment goals in place as soon as
possible. The committee then divided up the 46 annual
major reports- there was agreement to review the
documents and come to the next meeting prepared to
discuss and approve or disapprove the reports.
The next meeting is scheduled for March 1 at 3 p.m. in
Jonas 103.
