| Minutes of the university
assessment committee meeting Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m.
in Jonas 103. Story
Present were: Earley, Jerry Miller, O'Neill, Calhoon,
Termes, Golliher, Sharon Hemmingson. Absent were: Cook,
Haislett, Myers, Meyers, Ellis, Grey.
The chair reported that the committee should be
looking at the following time frame for this semester:
1. The biggest component of the assessment that still
needed work was the assessment of general education. He
and Golliher would meet next week with the chair, Knutson
to start work on that.
2. The assessment plans were in except for one, and he
hoped that it would be submitted soon.

3. The assessment reports
were coming in (see attachment) - he should be receiving
those from education soon. 4. The committee agreed to
divide the reports and read them. The meeting of Feb. 9
at 3 p.m. in Jonas 103 will be a discussion of whether or
not the reports were okay. The chair will divide the
reports and mail them to the members.
5. The chair discussed the importance of the rising
junior exam and gave data to the committee. He and
Hemmingson also discussed the new regents requirement for
math and English placement (the Compass Test).
The next meeting will be Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. in Jonas
103.
