BHSU 11th in NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup!

Black Hills State University finished the 2008-09 year in 11th place for the NAIA Learfield Sports Directors' Cup.  These standings include schools from all over the nation.  Click below for more details and a link to the 2008-09 Directors' Cup standings.
 

Rolfson, Lamb, & Bentley Honored by the DAC!

Senior A.J. Rolfson was recently honored by the Dakota Athletic Conference for her achievements on the golf course this past season.  She was named All-Conference and DAC Most Valuable Player. 

Jhett Albers Named DAC Athletic Director of the Year!

Jhett Albers was recently named Dakota Athletic Conference Athletic Director of the Year.  Albers accepted the athletic director position in January of 2006, he also teaches for the physical education department, and is the head volleyball coach for the Yellow Jackets.

BHSU Places 19th at Outdoor NAIA National Track & Field Championships!

The Yellow Jackets were led this past weekend with a strong showing by senior Trent Waage from Aberdeen, South Dakota by winning the marathon with a time of 2:28:27.00.  Junior thrower Jason Boeding from Caputa, South Dakota placed fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 178-00.

The BHSU women had a strong showing this past weekend in Edwardsville, Illinois by placing 5th overall in the Nation.  The Yellow Jackets had two first place finishers and nine others placing in the top ten of their event.

Baxter, Scheffler, & Walkinshaw Honored by the DAC!

Senior Aubrey Baxter was awarded Women’s Most Valuable Senior and Women’s Field Athlete of the Meet by the Dakota Athletic Conference.  Baxter won three events this past Friday at the DAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Madison, South Dakota. Click above for more details.
