Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State men’s and women’s cross country team will be competing in the NAIA National Cross Country Meet held in Vancouver, W.A. on Saturday, November 20. Both teams earned spots at the national meet by winning the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC).

Spearfish, S.D. – Black Hills State University sophomore Erin Curran, a native of Wahoo, Neb., earned Dakota Athletic Conference cross country female runner of the week for her efforts this past weekend at the DAC championship in Jamestown. Curran brought home the individual conference championship and led the Yellow Jackets to a DAC team title.

The women’s team will begin their season on Sat., Sept. 4 in Billings, Mont. with a triangular meet against Rocky Mountain College and Montana State University-Billings. The men’s team will see its first action on Thurs., Sept. 9 when the Yellow Jackets will host their only home meet of the season. The Yellow Jacket Invitational will be run on the golf course at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club.
