Dickinson, N.D. – The Black Hills State University Golf Team finished their season a day earlier then they had expected, as weather forced the cancelation of the second day of competition. The Yellow Jackets finished the in third place with two golfers landing in the top 10.

Dickinson is in first place on the first day of competition they shot 348 as a team, Minot is in second place with a 351 and Black Hills State is in third place with a 359. Leading the way for the Jackets is Emily Chapman who tallied a 87 after the first day of competition.

Spearfish, S.D. – The Yellow Jacket golf team has high expectations coming into the spring season. Currently the Jackets sit second in the conference trailing Minot State by only three points and they have two golfers who rank in the top 10 individually heading into the spring season.

Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University golf team finished its fall season and looks to continue improving into the spring season. The Jackets finished the fall season in second place of the Dakota Athletic Conference with 13 team points trailing Minot State by only three points. Individually the Jackets have two golfers who are in the top 10 in the conference.

The Black Hills State University Women’s Golf Team is entering their 5th year of competition in the Dakota Athletic Conference.  The Jackets are once again being led this year by former BHSU golfer Jaime Bentley, and assistant coach Ray Ginsbach.  The BHSU women’s golf team is coming off its most successful season in which they won their first ever Dakota Athletic Conference Title, and their first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.  The team is looking forward to continuing the success they had last year, and to defend their conference title.

The Yellow Jackets closed out the Dakota Athletic Conference in first place this past week which gave them the automatic bid to the National Tournament in Rapid City, South Dakota.  The National Tournament will take place at Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course in Rapid City May 12th-15th.  The Yellow Jackets will compete against 28 other teams in the NAIA.  Click above for more information on the tournament.

Jenessa Rantapaa, a senior at Lead-Deadwood High School has signed a letter of intent to play golf at Black Hills State University beginning in the fall of 2009.  Rantapaa has been a member of the Lead-Deadwood golf team since the beginning of her seventh grade year.

The Yellow Jacket Women’s Golf Team is ready to get back on the golf course and build on their most successful fall season in program history.  The Jackets finished the fall season with two tournament victories and one second place finish, and are eager to build on that success heading into the spring season.

This past weekend the women's golf team traveled to Jamestown, North Dakota for the Jamestown Invitational Golf Tournament. The Yellow Jackets finished 2nd behind Dickinson State University. They were led by Anne Langdell with a score of 89. They Yellow Jackets will be action again this weekend as they travel to Minot, North Dakota for the Minot State University Invitational. 16th Annual Gold Dust Yellow Jacket Auction To Be Held November 3, 2006
Spearfish, S.D. - The 16th Annual Gold Dust Yellow Jacket Auction will be held Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at the Spearfish Park Pavilion. The Gold Dust Yellow Jacket Auction is coordinated by the Yellow Jacket Foundation in an effort to raise scholarship funds for Black Hills State student-athletes.
