Kent, a 6’1 forward/post, is a transfer from the University of Nebraska Kearney. While a senior at Campbell County High School Jordan averaged 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game while posting 60% from the field and 85% from the line. BHSU traveled this past Friday to Jamestown College with one thing on their mind revenge. The Yellow Jackets lost the last time the two teams met in Jamestown. “We knew going in that Jamestown was a very difficult place to play. Aubrey Baxter (Redfield, SD) has qualified for this year’s Olympic Trials in the shot put with a throw of 54-00.50. Aubrey is a junior and the second current NAIA athlete to qualify and the first Black Hills State athlete to reach this milestone. The Black Hills State University track and field program, in conjunction with Lean Horse Productions, will host the inaugural “This is MY Year” run/walk on New Year’s Day at Lyle Hare Stadium in Spearfish.
The “This is MY Year” program is a fitness program designed for all levels. Jerry Dunn of Lean Horse Productions came up with the idea for “This is MY Year.” According to Dunn, the sole purpose of this new event is to encourage everyone to start the year in a positive way.
