Yellow Jackets Win Four Events in Colorado!

The Black Hills State track and field teams had four individuals win events at the Ram Open on Saturday, April 19. Eric Flores (Custer, SD) placed first in the shot put with a season best 55’ 07.75” throw and Aubrey Baxter (Redfield, SD) won the hammer throw with a NAIA leading mark of 190’ 03”. Alicia Verhulst (Ralph, SD) and Cody Bordewyk (Livermore, CO) won the steeplechase events in 11:42.00 and 9:42.92 respectively. All four individuals automatically qualified for the national outdoor championships to be held in St. Louis May 22-24.
