Women's Basketball Improves to 15-2 Over the Weekend!

This past weekend the Lady Yellow Jackets hosted a pair of DAC opponents in the Donald E. Young Center. On Friday night against Jamestown College the Yellow Jackets got off to a fast start taking the lead into halftime at 29-18.  In the second half the Yellow Jackets were able to build on their lead to take the game 61-44. Black Hills State was led by sophomore Brittney Furhman with 16 points including four three pointers.  Senior Snjezana Dojcinovic added 14 points and seven rebounds.

On Saturday night the Lady Yellow Jackets hosted Valley City State.  The first half the Vikings kept it close staying within six of BHSU at halftime 40-34.  In the second half the Lady Jackets pulled away increasing their lead to double figures.  The final was 78-66 Black Hills State.  The Lady Jackets were led by senior Lacey Haughian with 20 points.  Brittany Furhman had 17 points and Snjezana Dojcinovic added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The 15-2 Lady Jackets will travel this weekend to Dakota State University and Mayville State University.  They will then return home the following weekend to take on Dickinson State University and Minot State University.
