Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets Fall in the First Round of the NAIA National Championship
| March 11, 2010
Point Lookout Missouri – Black Hills State University National Championship hopes were cut short by a very strong University of Saint Francis team in the first round of the NAIA national championship. The Jackets fell 86-83.
The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Luke Enos who certainly demonstrated why he is the MVP of the Dakota Athletic Conference. Enos took over the game before fouling out with about four minutes left. Enos finished the contest with 26 points. As good as the Jackets were offensively they struggled defensively as they allowed Sawyer Davis to score 43 points, including the game winning three point shot.
The Yellow Jackets however will not lose any seniors and will start next season with high hopes of another run deep into the NAIA National Tournament. Next season will be the fourth season Black Hills State University will have the same five starters. These men will look to improve on their junior season as they head into their senior season.
