| January 25, 2010
January 25, 2010 – After getting temporarily stuck in North Dakota due to inclement weather and road closures, the Black Hills State Men’s Basketball team squared off against a tough opponent in Minot State University. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Beavers 75-81.
The Yellow Jackets came out to a strong start in the first half as they were led by sharpshooter Cain Atkinson’s 20 points. Luke Enos was also a key contributor with his 18 points and team high seven rebounds.
Black Hills State looked unstoppable at the half-way mark with a 50-35 score line. However, the Beavers held the Yellow Jacket offense at bay in the second half as Black Hills State was outscored 25-46 in the second period.
Next up for the Yellow Jacket Men is a much anticipated Thursday evening matchup against DAC conference rival, South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City, S.D.
