This past weekend the Yellow Jackets traveled to Valley City, North Dakota to take on DAC Conference opponent Valley City State University. The Yellow Jackets took an early lead into halftime 7-0. In the second the half BHSU again got off to a fast start increasing their lead to 23-7 entering the fourth quarter. The Vikings put together a good fourth quarter to close the gap to 23-21. On the two point conversion senior linebacker Nic Prather from Marysville, California tackled the Valley City State quarterback for a loss which sealed the game for the Yellow Jackets. “As a team we put together three good quarters of football. The fourth quarter we had to deal with some adversity and I was proud that our guys answered the challenge,” said Head Coach Jay Long. Another bright spot for the Yellow Jackets was freshman punter Levi Millikin who pinned the Vikings four times inside their 20 yard-line. His longest punt on the afternoon was of 47 yards, which earned him DAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
