Cameron Anderson has recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Black Hills State University beginning in the fall of 2009. Cameron is currently a senior at Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming. He has been a part of one of the most successful basketball programs ever in Wyoming history.
Cameron played a key role in helping the Camels win the State Championship in 2008 and was named Camel Basketball Most Improved Player on that team. This past season the Camels went 22-4 where he had to fight through two crucial injuries during the season. Cameron has been selected to the 2009 Wyoming All Star Basketball Team where they will compete this summer.
Anderson has also excelled in the classroom as he will finish high school with a GPA of 3.9 and being named Salutatorian for his class. He also has had perfect attendance as a sophomore, junior, and senior. He plans to major in secondary education and receive a minor in coaching.
“We are extremely excited to have Cameron join our program. He is a tremendous student, person, and athlete. He has gotten to know our team over the past few years and he will be a tremendous fit in our basketball family,” said Head Coach Paul Sather.
