Last Second Shot Stings the Yellow Jackets!

The Yellow Jackets traveled to Chadron, Nebraska Saturday for their last non-conference matchup before returning back to conference play. The Yellow Jackets were fresh off their victory over rival South Dakota School of Mines on Thursday night. Entering the game Saturday BHSU was 15-3 on the season.
In the first half, the Yellow Jackets started fast as sophomore Cain Atkinson scored the first five points of the game. The Eagles came right back eventually building an eleven point lead 30-19. The Yellow Jackets held Chadron State scoreless for the final four minutes of the first half to make the game 30-29 going into halftime. In the second half, the lead went back and forth between the two teams. With the scored being tied at 62, Chadron State hit a shot with 11 seconds remaining in the game. The Yellow Jackets came right back down the court where sophomore Luke Enos attempted a shot to tie the game but was called for a charge. The final was 64-62 in favor of Chadron State. The Yellow Jackets were led by Cain Atkinson with 16 points. Sophomores Luke Enos and Clay Pottorff added 10 points each. Sophomore Will John Johnson had 11 rebounds on the evening.
The 15-4 Yellow Jackets will return to action this Friday and Saturday night as they host Valley City State University and Jamestown College.
