Yellow Jackets Go 1-1 in Rocky Mountain Classic!

Black Hills State University traveled this past Wednesday to Billings, Montana for a pair of games in the Rocky Mountain Classic. The Yellow Jackets played Rocky Mountain College on Thursday night and Carroll College on Friday afternoon. They were 5-1 going into the Classic.
On Thursday, the Yellow Jackets shot 22% from the field and 11% behind the three point arc. Rocky Mountain took an early lead and never looked back taking the game 63-37. The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Katelynn Lamb with 12 points.
Friday, the Yellow Jackets got off to a better start against Carroll College taking the lead into halftime 29-24. In the second half the Yellow Jackets scored 32 points to Carroll’s 16 to take the game 61-40. The Yellow Jackets were led by Katelynn Lamb with 15 points. Junior Jenna Bolstad added 10 points. With the win the Yellow Jackets improved to 6-2 on the season.
Black Hills State will now travel to Dickinson, North Dakota this week to play in the Dickinson State Classic against Rocky Mountain College and Montana State University Northern. Games will be on Friday and Saturday. Please check the schedule for game times.
