The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets return to the 2007 Cross Country season once again with strong hope for a successful season. The running Yellow Jackets will look to balance most of their weight on the returning members from the 2006 teams.

Coach Albers will start the 2007 season fresh off their 20 win season a year ago. The team lost two seniors but gained three new freshmen that should make an immediate impact. The Yellow Jackets volleyball team will start practice on August 11th.

Black Hills State Yellow Jacket Football will begin preparation for their fall season on August 12th with forty new recruits going through a two-day orientation. Fifty returning veterans will report on the 14th with a great deal of optimism carrying over from last seasons Dakota Athletic Conference Championship, and a first ever NAIA Playoff birth.  Head Coach John Scott and his staff are entering their fifth season and are looking to build on a solid core of returning players on both sides of the ball.

Wisconsin newspaper recently published an article on the outlook for former Black Hills State University star Zach Alcorn as the Green Bay Packers Training Camp begins. In the article there is a quote from the Green Bay Head Coach Mike McCarthy as he talks about Zach having the best hands on the team.
