Coming into spring ball the football staff really wanted to build on a running game that led the Dakota Athletic Conference a year ago. They also wanted to expand their passing game behind freshman quarterback Drew Hodgs who was very successful in his first season as a Yellow Jacket.

The DAC Outdoor Championships began Sunday, April 20 with the start of the multi events. For Black Hills State University freshmen Lisa Koch (Elkton, SD), Kristi Bowers (Broadus, MT), and Shane Long (Yoder, WY) along with Shannon Hellman (Box Elder) competed for the Yellow Jackets in the event hosted by Dickinson State.
