Junior Luke Enos from Faith, South Dakota was recently named Dakota Athletic Conference Player of the Week.  Enos Averaged 31.5 points and 5 rebounds per game this past weekend as BHSU defeated Minot State University 93-90 and Dickinson State University 79-69 to win the DAC Confernce for the second year in a row.

Black Hills State University Head Football Coach Jay Long announced today that the Yellow Jacket Football program will sign letter of intents for 37 student-athletes on Friday, February 18, 2010.  This is the second recruiting class for Long and his coaching staff.  The class is comprised of 33 high school players and 4 transfer students.

Spearfish, S.D. – On Saturday, February 6, Black Hills State hosted “Coaches vs. Cancer” to benefit former Yellow Jacket Ethan Dschaak during his battle with cancer.  Dschaak, the former head boy’s basketball coach at Sturgis Brown high school, was diagnosed with cancer in early November.

Black Hills State University will be hosting a fundraiser for Coaches vs. Cancer on Saturday, February 6 as the Yellow Jackets take on Valley City State in men’s and women’s basketball at the Young Center.  This year, proceeds raised from the event will benefit former Sturgis High School boy’s basketball coach and Black Hills State alum Ethan Dschaak.
