Black Hills State women's basketball team traveled last weekend to Fremont, Nebraska as they took on two stiff opponents in Midland Lutheran College and MidAmerica Nazerine. They then returned home to face Southwest Minnesota State University on Monday night in the Donald E. Young Center. Click here for more details.

The Running Yellow Jackets left Spearfish, SD on Thursday, and headed to Kenosha, Wisconsin with a major purpose. One goal the Yellow Jackets always have entering the National Championships is to finish higher than they were rated entering the meet.

The Black Hills State University football team traveled last weekend to face #2 Carroll College in Helena, Montana in the first round of the NAIA Playoffs. The Yellow Jackets were hanging tough at halftime only trailing 0-13. A few costly turnovers in the second half helped Carroll gain a 0-34 advantage to close the game. Click here for article.

Last Thursday the Yellow Jackets traveled to Omaha, Nebraska to face Midland Lutheran College and Grace University in the Grace Classic. Friday night the Yellow Jackets got off to a fast start taking in a halftime lead of 16 points 41-25.

The Yellow Jacket men's basketball team played their second game of the season Saturday night against Mount Marty College. The Yellow Jackets were able to jump on the Lancers at the end of the first half to increase their lead to 11 points going in to the locker room. Joe Beehler was named Dakota Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts at Valley City State University over this past weekend. Joe had 139 total yards and two touchdowns in the 52-0 win on Saturday. With the win the Yellow Jackets moved up in the rankings to #21 and are in a three way tie for the DAC Conference tile.
