Yellow Jackets Sweep Dakota Athletic Conference Titles!

Madison, SD-Led by individual winners JR, Wendy O’Lexey, Rock Springs, WY and SR, Cody Bordewyk, Livermore, CO, the NAIA nationally ranked Black Hills State University cross country teams swept the Dakota Athletic Conference individual and team crowns and qualified both teams for the NAIA National Championships. This Saturday the Black Hills State cross country teams will compete at the 2008 Dakota Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships. The meet returns to the Madison Country Club in Madison, SD, the site of the inaugural event in 2000 in which both Yellow Jacket teams won DAC titles. Click above for more details.

Yellow Jackets Race to Runner-up Finishes!

The Black Hills State University cross country teams ran to runner-up finishes in the fourteen team field at the Mt. Marty Invitational on Saturday, October 25. The meet was hosted by the University of South Dakota and ran on the Don Baker course on the USD campus. Click above for more details.

Former All-American Runs Portland Marathon!

Former Black Hills State University cross country/track and field athlete Lisa Bomengen (Reynolds) competed in the Portland Marathon held on Sunday, October 5. Lisa had an outstanding race covering the 26.2 mile distance in 3:29.41 (3h:29m:30s). Her time placed her 20th in her division that had 608 finishers. Out of 4022 female finishers Lisa placed 92nd. Click above for more details.
