BHSU student wins international business scholarship

 BHSU business student, Samantha Johnson, recently received a $7,000 scholarship from Zonta International, a worldwide organization of business professionals working to advance the status of women.  Johnson is one of 12 students worldwide to receive the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship.


Grand opening set for new BHSU alumni center
Thursday, November 20, 2014 The grand opening for the Black Hills State University Joy (Proctor) Krautschun Alumni/Foundation Center is from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, with the dedication ceremony scheduled for 4 p.m. in the new center at 1531 St. Joseph St. in Spearfish, south of Lyle Hare Stadium and Ida Henton Park on the BHSU campus. 

BHSU Enactus Team raises money for future Business Leadership Scholarship
Tuesday, November 18, 2014 The Black Hills State University Enactus Team hosts a 5K race and shoe drive to continue its mission to raise money for a Business Leadership Scholarship and provide community service.

Community members, faculty, staff, students, and alumni gathered on the Black Hills State University campus this weekend to celebrate the inauguration of BHSU’s tenth president, Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr.  The theme for the inauguration was “Spirit of the Hills” honoring the history, geography, beauty and the people of the Black Hills.

Young Sports and Fitness Center on the BHSU campus. Jackson is the tenth president of BHSU.

Heidepriem Hall residents return to BHSU for 45-year reunion

In 1969 a group of young women attended freshmen orientation at Black Hills State University. Forty-five years later, that same group of friends reunited and spent a weekend revisiting the campus and the memories they made during their time at BHSU.
