Joseph F. and Martha P. Nelson were the first to donate $1 million to Black Hills State University.  In recognition of their generosity this Society honors those who have contributed $1,000,000 or more in lifetime gifts or who make provisions for irrevocable trusts and other deferred gifts of $1,000,000 or more to BHSU, are also granted membership is this most prestigious cumulative-giving society.
