Expecting a financial aid refund check?  There are new requirementsattendance confirmation must be done to receive your refund!  Please complete your attendance confirmation by January 2nd or your refund will be delayed.

Just a reminder, as you drop and add classes, your financial aid can change based on your credit hours (your financial aid award letter is based on full-time charges).  Please make sure you continue to review Web Advisor to make sure there is not a change to your bill. 

The financial aid processes are complete for those of you who met the financial aid deadlines for early refund processing.  Log in to WebAdvisor and select SDePAY and Current Activity for the most current information on your Fall 2011 billing account.

Financial Aid was applied to student's bills this last weekend if registration and all paperwork was complete.

Fall 2011 Bills have been posted on WebAdvisor for those students who preregistered for the Fall semester. 

Fall semester will begin August 29th if you have a class beginning at 4:00 p.m. or later.  Arrangements for your bill need to be completed by August 31st.

Just as a reminder, if you are taking summer classes you need to review your Current Activity on Web Advisor to make sure your bill has been paid in full.

There has been a lot of discussion in the national media about cuts in the PELL grant. At this point, the PELL grant remains in place and the amount has not been reduced.

Congress has been dealing with many issues in Washington of which I am sure you have been aware. Balancing the budget has federal student aid taking possible cuts. Yesterday we learned the Pell Grant for the 11-12 year will stay at the level of last year, however, the Year-Round Pell will be eliminated. We do not know how the other programs may be affected at this time.
