BHSU announces Take Five Winners

Black Hills State University’s Center for Academic Success is pleased to announce the winners of the Take Five Early Registration Event. The Center sponsors an event each semester to promote early registration for classes.

Pioneer Bank & Trust and the Clarkson family pledge $50,000 to BHSU

Pioneer Bank and Trust and the F.L. Clarkson Family Foundation recently pledged an additional $50,000 to the Clarkson Family Scholarship Fund at BHSU.

BHSU assistant professor earns scholarship to present at China conference

Chris McCart, assistant professor and coordinator of the outdoor education program at Black Hills State University, was awarded the “Young Scholar” award by the Association for Moral Education. The scholarship assists in expenses to travel and present at the 2011 Association for Moral Education International Research Conference in Nanjing, China.

BHSU photography program receives $75,000 donation: Spurs challenge for others

Dr. Richard Kessel, professor emeritus from the University of Iowa, recently pledged $75,000 over the next three years to the Black Hills State University photography program.

Scholarships at BHSU

 

Black Hills State University has an outstanding scholarship program that has been established by friends, alumni, faculty, staff and students. Scholarships are based on student achievements and may vary from a one semester to a four-year award. Whatever the amount, scholarships play an important role in assisting students with their educational costs.

Priority deadline is Feb. 1, 2012: Fill out the scholarship application (New BHSU Students, or Current BHSU Students) today!
