Black Hills State University will announce the 2015-2016 Make a Difference Initiative scholarship recipient during the Make a Difference Ceremony, Wednesday, April 13, 4 p.m. in the Joy (Proctor) Krautschun Alumni/Foundation Welcome Center (Joy Center). For the second year in a row, BHSU students submitted applications outlining their ideas for a program to make a difference in the lives of others.
|Pioneer Bank and Trust fulfills $50,000 pledge for BHSU student scholarships|
Thomas J. Deis, Sr. Vice President, Manager of Pioneer Bank and Trust presented a $10,000 check to Steve Meeker, Vice President of Advancement at BHSU recently. The gift completes a $50,000 pledge made by Pioneer Bank and Trust for Clarkson Memorial Scholarships.
|Spring awakening: BHSU has music for those who listen|
Black Hills State University is ready to kick off its spring musical season. A variety of concerts, events and competitions with various genres of music are scheduled throughout the semester, and BHSU music faculty say there is something for everyone.
The first event this spring, the Jeanne Higgins Memorial Showcase Concert, is Saturday, Feb. 6 in Meier Recital Hall 8 p.m., starting with a social hour at 7 p.m.
