BLACK HILLS STATE UNIVERSITY
OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

The Office of International Studies is the "Connection Place" for International students.  This Office provides International students opportunities to become familiar with their new academic setting, immigration to the US and the Black Hills of South Dakota. The office also coordinates the study abroad experiences for BHSU students; International experiences for BHSU faculty and students; International research, manuscript publishing and International presentation opportunities with partnering International and domestic universities. 

The Academic English Preparation Program is offered three times throughout the year: 

• Fall Semester:
  All application materials must reach BHSU by June 1

• Spring Semester:
  All application materials must reach BHSU by October 1

• Summer Sessions:
  All application materials must reach BHSU by February 1

*Note: All undergraduate students should also apply BEFORE the above mentioned dates*
