Wells, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Iowa State University, will be the keynote speaker Thursday, March 21 at 2 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall on the campus of Black Hills State University during the 15th Annual Black Hills Research Symposium (BHRS).

Federal contracting seminar to be held in Rapid City

The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), located on the campus of Black Hills State University, is hosting a seminar, “Introduction to Federal Contracting,” at the University Center-Rapid City, Tuesday, March 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (M.S.T.) in room 127. The seminar will also be available via the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) at Northern State University, South Dakota State University, University of South Dakota and the University Center- Sioux Falls.


BHSU instructor exhibits art in Massachusetts show
Wednesday, March 06, 2013 The artwork of Black Hills State University art instructor Karri Dieken is currently featured in an exhibit in Lawrence, Mass., titled “Down to Sleep.”

The show which runs through April 12 is at the Chester F. Sidell Gallery in Lawrence’s Essex Art Center. The exhibit focuses on the bed, with its soft sheets and pillows, as a location for many of life’s emotions. 


BHSU musical duo performs ‘visual’ concert

When Steve Babbitt walked into his classroom Wednesday and saw Black Hills State University President Dr. Kay Schallenkamp and Dr. Rod Custer, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, many things began running through his mind. 

The BHSU President and Provost were there to present Babbitt with this year’s Distinguished Faculty Award – an honor bestowed upon Babbitt by his colleagues.
