Two Black Hills State University students were the recipients of the Chiesman Scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Nick Gale, history and political science major from Spearfish, and Elizabeth Sorensen, business administration-marketing and Spanish major from Britton, each received a $750 scholarship award.
Award-winning BHSU musician finds inspiration at Sanford Lab; will premier original composition July 10
Thursday, July 2, 2015 The inspiration for Black Hills State University student Jesse Dunaway’s most recent composition came from a unique and unusual source – the Sanford lab, an underground science research facility in Lead. His composition, “Homestake Mine” links music, history and science in a one-of-a-kind performance.
