Teaching candidates successfully completing the BHSU Teacher Education Program must demonstrate competence in their field. This is accomplished through the completion of the Teacher Work Sample (TWS) which allows BHSU Teaching Candidates to demonstrate competence in their ability to plan and deliver an effective instructional unit, employ meaningful classroom assessments, impact P-12 student learning, and analyze and reflect on their experiences. The TWS is a required assignment to be completed during student teaching and practiced during earlier field experiences and methods courses.
