Student interns chosen as a part of the Project SELECT cohort are placed with consulting teachers for one semester at North Middle School, Dakota Middle School,  West Middle School, or Douglas Middle School and one semester at Central High School,  Stevens High School, or Douglas High School during the calendar school year. These schools were chosen because of their diverse student populations, range of issues unique to those buildings, and the various programs available to their students.

You will spend the majority of each semester in the classroom but will also have the opportunity to get involved in helping students through additional school programs such as the ARC (academic resource center) and mentoring programs available in each building. The goal of the student intern's immersion into the school environment is to address issues related to student achievement, graduation rates and cultural diversity.
