BHSU students raise nearly $700 for Special Olympics Polar Plunge
Thursday, February 21, 2013 After seeing a poster for the South Dakota Special Olympics Polar Plunge, Black Hills State University student John Walker decided to take on a challenge and asked his fellow classmates to do the same.

This weekend, Walker, a human services major from Spearfish, will brave the below freezing temperatures and plunge into the icy water at the Spearfish Rec and Aquatics Center in a costume designed by the class that donated the most money for the Special Olympics annual fundraiser

Participants will have the opportunity to explore new interests and further their education and skills while experiencing campus life.
Create a Website with WordPress workshop to be held at University Center-Rapid City

A hands-on workshop, “Create a Website with WordPress,” will be held Thursday, March 7 at the University Center-Rapid City, room 103. The workshop is divided into two sessions. The morning session will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the afternoon session will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
