BHSU students are being challenged to create marketing concepts using the University’s new tagline ‘Where Anything is Possible’ in a campus-wide contest. The winning entry has the possibility of being shown regionally during the Super Bowl or being placed on a billboard.
Public universities create new principal preparation degree Thursday, December 4, 2014 Collaboration among four public universities in South Dakota will create a new master of education degree in principal preparation. Approved Thursday by the South Dakota Board of Regents, the new degree program incorporates nationally recognized best practices for training future principals and administrators in South Dakota K-12 schools.
Dean at BHSU elected to Renaissance Group Board of Governors Tuesday, November 25, 2014
Dr. Patricia Simpson, dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Black Hills State University, was elected to the board of governors of The Renaissance Group, a national consortium to prepare American education professionals. Simpson’s tenure begins immediately.

Cecil, a psychology major from Rapid City, spent the summer working as an intern for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Greenbelt, Md.
