Young Sports and Fitness Center recently to wish good luck to the more than 400 Black Hills State University graduates awarded master, bachelor and associate degrees during the 165th Commencement Ceremony.
DeJong and Patmore recognized as BHSU highest ranking graduates
Wednesday, May 01, 2013 Nicole DeJong, science education major from Avon, and Candace Patmore, math education major from Colome, will be honored as the highest ranking students during the Black Hills State University Spring 2013 commencement ceremony Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. in the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center.
BHSU sociology students conduct research for local nonprofit
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 A group of Black Hills State University students went door-to-door to nearly 500 Box Elder homes collecting demographic information that  will help a local nonprofit plan for  housing assistance needs to those in the area.
BHSU will hold 165th commencement ceremony May 4th
Tuesday, April 23, 2013 More than 400 candidates will be recognized for graduation during Black Hills State University’s 165th commencement ceremony Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. in the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center. Candidates for the spring 2013 BHSU graduation include 45 master’s degree candidates, 362 bachelor’s candidates and 22 associate degree candidates.

'Mobile Media Marketing' workshop to be held at the University Center-Rapid City
Wednesday, March 27, 2013 A workshop, “Mobile Media Marketing,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City Wednesday, Apr. 17 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in room 125. The class will also be available via the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) at Northern State University, South Dakota State University, Dakota State University, University of South Dakota and the University Center- Sioux Falls from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST.
BHSU event to raise awareness to local and international hunger problem

Every day millions of people around the world go hungry. It could be a family member, neighbor or colleague. An event sponsored by the Black Hills State University Multicultural Committee and the Psychology Club will raise awareness to the fact that hunger happens everywhere, locally and around the world. 

The Evening of Hunger Awareness is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.

Wells, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Iowa State University, will be the keynote speaker Thursday, March 21 at 2 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall on the campus of Black Hills State University during the 15th Annual Black Hills Research Symposium (BHRS).
BHSU research team comes back inspired from trip to Special Olympics World Games
Monday, March 11, 2013 Dr. Emilia Boeschen, Black Hills State University assistant professor of psychology, and her research team of 10 students, knew their trip to South Korea would be a life-changing experience. They, however, did not realize the extent of it.
