BHSU’s fall commencement to be held Dec. 14
Friday, December 6, 2013 Black Hills State University will recognize 229 candidates for graduation during the University’s 166th commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. in the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center. Degrees for the fall 2013 BHSU graduates include nine masters, 196 bachelors, and 24 associates.

BHSU holds grand opening of its native plant garden

Black Hills State University recently celebrated the grand opening of its native plant ethnobotanical garden, one of several events held during the University’s Outdoor Week. The ethnobotanical garden, located on the west side of the Life Sciences Laboratory, was merely an idea a little over a year ago, and is now home to a variety of native species including buffalo grass, yucca, prickly pear, blue stem grass, evergreen, pine trees, sage, and purple coneflower.
SD CEO to host monthly Women in Networking luncheon

As veterans transition back into civilian and academic life, higher education institutions such as BHSU and the University Center are increasing support, developing programs and providing resources to help make the transition from military service into academia smoother.
