BHSU Psychology Program

Are you interested in the study of human behavior?

Experience a positive learning environment and discover the application of psychology in many diverse fields with a major in Psychology from Black Hills State University.  You will have the opportunity to apply psychological research first hand by working closely with faculty while conducting cutting edge research.

Undergraduate research provides a learning experience for you that is not possible in the traditional classroom. We are leading the way for BHSU in our focus on undergraduate research. We provide opportunities for students to gain experience in psychological research as volunteer subjects and as student researchers.

All of our faculty have the highest degree available in the field, are experienced instructors, and are trained in a variety of theoretical perspectives.  Our department includes a laboratory and animal care facilities that are used for both classroom projects and research.  We also offer opportunities for internships that will allow you to work in the field with practicing psychologists.

Check our major and minor requirements.
