Dr. Brian Eberhard
Social Studies Education, MSCI
Dr. Eberhard is originally from Fullerton, CA. He began his post-secondary education by earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California in Los Angeles, then completed a Master's and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wyoming.
Previously, Dr. Eberhard was a high school Social Studies teacher in California and an Assistant Professor at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor and MSCI Coordinator here at Black Hills State University. His focus in research is in sociocultural factors impacting beginning teacher practices and the research/practice gap.
Dr. Eberhard currently teaches 7-12 Social Science Methods, Human Relations, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in Schools, and Child and Adolescent Development.
