The Center for the Advancement of Math and Science Education (CAMSE) promotes effective and meaningful teaching and learning science and mathematics at all levels. Areas of emphasis include:
- Support of teachers already in the field through professional development in math content, science content, and innovative teaching strategies.
- Dissemination and evaluation of instructional materials.
- Research on the teaching and learning of mathematics and science.
The Distinguished Scholars program offers students the opportunity to explore math and science concepts in a new light, experience innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and to explore career paths related to education. Stipends and scholarships are available to participants.
