BHSU offers the only Industrial Technology program in South Dakota.

BHSU's Industrial Technology program places you into a position of individual customization of your educational and career goals. The Industrial Technology Program offers courses in Rapid City, Yankton, Spearfish and Sioux Falls.

Industrial Technology

Advanced Manufacturing - The Advanced Manufacturing degree is specifically designed to prepare you with the skills and knowledge needed in management, leadership and technology for today’s growing high-tech manufacturing field.

Construction - This specialization provides you with in-depth exposure to residential and light commercial construction management practices and techniques. Emphasis is on building design, project management and cost estimating.

Applied Technical Science - This program is designed for those who already have an Associate of Applied Science degree and wish to transfer their credits towards a Bachelor of Applied Technical Science degree here at BHSU.  This degree will provide you the basic business skills required in management positions or to start a business. 

Industrial Technology Education - With more and more advances in the technology field, the demand for Technology Education teachers is on the rise. Technology Education students will receive the same instruction as the other Industrial Technology majors, but they will also be taking courses in education to prepare them for the teaching world.

 Associates (two-year) Degree

Industrial Technology - Complete a degree in less time, with our two-year Industrial Technology program at BHSU. Join a high quality, fully accredited program where the credits earned in the Industrial Technology Associate of Science Degree are fully transferable. If you decide to further your education in a four-year Bachelor's degree program, the Industrial Technology credits will be applied.

Advanced Manufacturing - the two-year Advanced Manufacturing degree also gives you the skill you need for management and leadership for today's technological world and provides you with relevant skills necessary to excel in the field.
