New First-Year Students First-year students are selected through a special application process. General guidelines for acceptance include an ACT score of at least 25 (or equivalent SAT) and a high school GPA of at least 3.5. Other considerations are evidence of a commitment to achievement beyond grades, lifelong learning experiences, and service.
