It also offers special changes for study abroad. The Honors Program has given me opportunities I would not have otherwise had at BHSU."

New First-Year Students
First-year students are selected through a special application process. General guidelines for acceptance include an ACT score of at least 25 (or equivalent SAT) and a high school GPA of at least 3.5. Other considerations are evidence of a commitment to achievement beyond grades, lifelong learning experiences, and service.

Continuing/Transfer Students
Requirements are as follows:

• GPA of 3.3
• One sample essay
• One letter of recommendation from a faculty member
