Jeffrey Viken, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, will talk about prejudice in the Black Hills and its roots in lack of information and education during a talk at Black Hills State University Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.
High school students will have an opportunity to explore the world of fantasy and imagination to create a variety of art during the Black Hills State University ‘ZAP! POW! BLAM!’ summer art academy.
The three-day academy is part of a variety of academic camps BHSU is hosting this summer. The summer art academy is scheduled for June 17-19 and is open to high school students who have competed grades 9-11.
Every day millions of people around the world go hungry. It could be a family member, neighbor or colleague. An event sponsored by the Black Hills State University Multicultural Committee and the Psychology Club will raise awareness to the fact that hunger happens everywhere, locally and around the world.
The Evening of Hunger Awareness is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.
