thumb_0591_belle-fourche.jpgApproximately 25 middle school students from Belle Fourche participated recently in a Technology Challenge on the Black Hills State University campus. The Technology Challenge, hosted by the Industrial Technology program at BHSU, promoted the use of problem-solving skills and the development of hands-on skills. The students were required to build a hot air balloon and a collision proof box.

Hall was selected by her peers to receive the scholarship at the annual Student Volunteer Awards banquet.

ahmad_ahrar.jpgDr. Ahrar Ahmad, political science professor at BHSU, was recently invited to be a judge at the 20th annual "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution" competition held in Washington, D.C., April 27-30. Ahmad served as part of a panel of judges comprised of scholars, attorneys, and members of the judicial branch selected from across the country.

Shad Hunt, Facilities Services, was named CSA Outstanding Employee for fall 2006, and Elva Newman, University Mail Services, was named CSA Outstanding Employee for spring 2007.
