James Knutson, professor of art at Black Hills State University, received a surprise announcement during class from BHSU President Kay Schallenkamp and Dr. Rod Custer, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, honoring him with the 2012 Distinguished Faculty Award. The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University, in collaboration with Regional Health, will feature running legend, inspirational speaker, and international best-selling author, Dick Beardsley, as part of the “Healthy Bodies Healthy Business” eight-week wellness series. The first presentation will take place Tuesday, April 24 from noon to 1 p.m. in Spearfish at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center, room #206 on the BHSU campus. The second session will be held Thursday, April 26 from noon to 1 p.m. in the lower level of the Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House, 224 Elk St.
