Twenty-seven teachers from across the state of South Dakota attended an Earth and Space Science Concepts for Teachers workshop at Black Hills State University. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Abigail Domagall, assistant professor of geology at BHSU, and Dr. Janet Briggs, science education specialist at the Center for the Advancement of Math and Science Education (CAMSE) at BHSU.
The Black Hills State University Alumni Association hosted the 40-Year Reunion for the Class of 1971, in conjunction with the Williams & Ree and friends performance.

Recent Black Hills State University graduates Tyler Raad, Mary McGillivray, and Tessa Braddy will perform in a special show at Matthews Opera House this week. Spearfish native and two-time Tony Award nominee lyricicist Bill Russell will host two evenings of songs from musicals he’s written for the stage on Thursday, June 30 and Sunday, July 3, both at 7:30 p.m.
Steve Meeker, vice president for University Advancement at Black Hills State University, has announced that alumnae Sandra (Turney) Addy and her husband, Tad, have included BHSU in their estate plan for a major gift to establish two endowments, the income of which will support undergraduate scholarships in music and education.
