The South Dakota Board of Regents (SD BOR) recognized three Black Hills State University student organizations for their community service, academic achievements and leadership skills at its meeting Dec. 3 in Rapid City.
BHSU business student, Samantha Johnson, recently received a $7,000 scholarship from Zonta International, a worldwide organization of business professionals working to advance the status of women. Johnson is one of 12 students worldwide to receive the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship.

Courtney Dahlgren, a recent graduate of Timber Lake High School, is this year’s recipient of the Joe and Elaine Floyd Scholarships, a four-year scholarship of $48,000. Dahlgren will attend Black Hills State University in the fall and plans to major in elementary education with a minor in coaching.
