Dr. Timothy Martinez, professor of political science at Black Hills State University, is addressing the new relationship with Cuba as well as the nation’s revolution and political change in the next Geek Speak lecture. Martinez will share the story of Cuban revolutionist Che Guevara and his ideas on society that not only sparked a Cuban revolution, but transformed him into a pop culture icon.
“Always Contested: The Confederate Flag in the Public Imagination” will be held Thursday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. in room 110 of Jonas Hall on the BHSU campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.
