Black Hills State University will host “What to do When Things Go Wrong,” a financial presentation by Terry Mills, of Consumer Credit Counseling in Rapid City, Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room. Mills will speak about proactive steps one can take to work with his or her financial institution in a financial pinch.

Black Hills State University will host Dick Beardsley--marathon champion, motivational speaker, and holder of the fifth fastest marathon time in U.S. history Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in Jonas Hall Room 305 on the BHSU campus.

Black Hills State University’s Lyle Hare Stadium was the site of the First Annual Yellow Jacket Run/Walk. The event which took place during Swarm Week, was a fundraiser to help support BHSU scholarships.

Enrollment at Black Hills State University increased to 4,011 students for the fall 2008 semester. This increase is consistent with the University’s nearly constant growth since it was founded 125 years ago. In the past decade, BHSU has recorded an enrollment increase of 10.25 percent.
