The Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets recently hosted a Coaches vs. Cancer night as a benefit for Ethan Dschaak and his family that raised more than $4,000. Dschaak, a BHSU alumnus and Sturgis head basketball coach, was diagnosed with cancer in early November.

Black Hills State University will once again host the Perkins Basketball Classic during the holiday break. The tournament, which will feature four men’s college teams and seven high school teams, will be held Dec. 28-30 in the main gym of the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center.
