Representatives from BHSU and five other South Dakota universities will host an Information Night Thursday, April 24 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Higher Education Center-West River in Rapid City. The representatives will be available to discuss course, degree, and financial aid options for Rapid City area students.

The South Dakota Office of Tourism will launch its first ever online hospitality training for South Dakota business owners this summer. The Office of Tourism contracted with the College of Business and Technology at Black Hills State University to develop the training, which will be offered free of charge to all South Dakota businesses.

The 10th annual Black Hills Research Symposium (BHRS) will be held April 1-3 in the BHSU Student Union Jacket Legacy Room. The symposium will include student research presentations as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jose Alonso, laboratory director for the new Sanford Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory at the former Homestake Mine in Lead.

Two Black Hills State University graduates recently passed all four sections of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam on the first attempt. Only about one in ten candidates nationwide pass all four parts in one attempt.
