Black Hills State University is giving local high school students the opportunity to learn more about accounting in an accounting camp.
The BHSU Taking Care of Business - Accounting Style accounting camp, open to high school students who have completed their sophomore year, is scheduled for June 10.
A group of Black Hills State University biology and outdoor education students spent the beginning of their spring semester getting face to face with the wolves of Minnesota’s Northwoods. Six undergraduate and one graduate student participated in a program at the Audubon Center of the North Woods in Sandstone, Minn., which allowed the students to learn tracking and observation techniques to study wolves, and other large predator animals, and their environment.
A workshop, “Market Your Business on Facebook,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City, Wednesday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in room 106.
The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), the women’s business center at Black Hills State University, will host the monthly Women in Networking (WIN) lunch at the Spearfish Holiday Inn Swarm Room Tuesday, April 9 from noon to 1 p.m.
A Rapid City Stevens High School student recently took top honors in the South Dakota High School Division and placed fifth in the national Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation’s InvestWrite® student essay competition. Clarissa Petres, a junior at Stevens, won with her essay titled “The effect of World War II on machinery-good companies. “
