Auburn Ritterbush knows firsthand the amount of work that goes into a legislative session. The Black Hills State University political science major spent her spring semester interning for South Dakota Rep. Justin Cronin, R-Gettysburg, during the recent 88th Legislative session.
A group of Black Hills State University biology and outdoor education students spent the beginning of their spring semester getting face to face with the wolves of Minnesota’s Northwoods. Six undergraduate and one graduate student participated in a program at the Audubon Center of the North Woods in Sandstone, Minn., which allowed the students to learn tracking and observation techniques to study wolves, and other large predator animals, and their environment.
Every day millions of people around the world go hungry. It could be a family member, neighbor or colleague. An event sponsored by the Black Hills State University Multicultural Committee and the Psychology Club will raise awareness to the fact that hunger happens everywhere, locally and around the world.
The Evening of Hunger Awareness is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.
But it is nothing she says she can’t handle.
