Black Hills State University students who participated in the 2009 Office of Civic Engagement Alternative Spring Break trip are back and ready to educate others about their experiences working at Camp Campbell, a YMCA camp near Boulder Creek, Calif. The students will give a presentation about the trip Wednesday, April 15 at 12 p.m. in Jonas Hall, room 206.

Black Hills State University will host the annual Kevin Whirlwind Horse Memorial Run/Walk fundraiser Saturday, April 18. The event, an integral part of Indian Awareness Week at BHSU, raises funds to support a yearly scholarship presented to a Native American sophomore who demonstrates outstanding academic ability and leadership.

Jaret at SanfordBlack Hills State University will host the 11th annual Black Hills Research Symposium in Clare and Josef Meier Hall on the BHSU campus March 24-26. The symposium includes student research presentations as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jaret Heise of the Sanford Lab at Homestake.
